Point of View
Point of View is the narrator's perspective in a piece of literature. Today we are focusing on these three types of POVs:
- First Person-"I, me, my"-Narrator is generally the main character and only knows his/her own thoughts and actions.
- Third Person Omniscient-"He/she, her/his"-Narrator knows everything about the story, even when the characters do not (all-knowing).
- Third Person Limited-"He/she, her/his"-Narrator only knows what the main character knows

What the two types of narratives have in common is the fact that they both tell a story. Simply put, a narrative is an essay that tells a story.
